“Kindness is in our power, even when fondness is not.” ~ Samuel Johnson
It isn’t easy to always take the high road. It can often be difficult to be kind to someone who is not, but what if you were? What if you were kind to anyone whoever did you wrong? Sometimes we just have to make that decision.
I think many hurt and take it out on the wrong people. Before I lash out I try to choose kindness as you never know what that person is going through. Compassion can be the greatest gift at times.
I believe everything we do reflects like a mirror. I have come across those who have not always showed me kindness. It isn’t a good feeling when that happens, but when you have the power to say you never did them wrong back that is truly incredible.
It is hard not to lash with words for some, but if someone treats you bad why would you want to hurt back? Did anyone ever hurt you? Remember how that felt.
You should never want anyone to feel that way. Do the opposite and be kind to others. It can change you in an astonishing way and will make you realize someone always has it worse.
“And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.” Ephesians 4:32
